Busy days before Christmas...This year we can not be in Norway for that, because his family. But we are going to be there New Years eve. It feels strange, as the first Christmas ever without my family, and i have no 'Christmas feeling' at all. Weather has not been great, but we had a chance last Sunday to visit a new reserve; Wicken Fen. As it is this time of year, a rush before light fade away - so we didnt have time to explore properly...but got some great views of a Kestrel hunting few metres away not being bothered by us at all. Then i spotted a very curious Muntjac - as i stood there, it came slowly closer towards me in the middle of the path. I was not sure what to expect, as i dont know anything about these animals. In the end, it was so close i found it best to leave :-))

We had been hoping to see Short eared owls again, as its been none to see around here so far this winter. But we had no luck.
